TRIO Social Media Assistant
$16.00 per hour

Description: • Perform light to moderate research as needed on a variety of topics, such as important deadlines, available student resources, etc • Work alongside the team to create a plan for social media strategies monthly and help plan, create, record, and edit social media post used for the benefit of the student programming • Experience with content management systems, word processor applications and image/video editing software • Knowledge on social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Canvas, etc. • Monitor postings to ensure program message is constant from the terminology used to images posted • Interact with followers and community members by communicating and answering questions through the programs social pages • Assist in implementing plans to increase followers on popular social media • Represent the TRIO Programs, Woodland Community College, Colusa County Campus and the Yuba Community College District in a professional manner.

Qualifications: • Understand and follow oral and written instructions in English; have strong oral and written communication skills. • Experience using email, internet, and Canvas • Patience with technology and troubleshooting; • Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills and ease relating to people from various backgrounds • Demonstrate high level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality. • Work collaboratively with others to accomplish goals.

Purpose: The duties of this position helps the TRIO Staff with weekly communication and interactions with our students as well as assisting with advertising our special events, campus tours, and cultural activities.

Schedule: Depending on class schedules, work schedule would be approximately 15 hours between the hours of 8:00am- 5:00pm (Monday-Friday)
