Description: BASIC DUTIES: - Perform receptionist duties and answer telephones; take and relay messages to program staff. - Schedule appointments and maintain appointment records for tracking purposes. - Provide information and assistance to students, the public, and staff regarding program requirements, eligibility, and benefits. - Assist the EOPS department with data management by updating records and files related to program services, requirements, and procedures. - Assist in preparing materials for appointments, workshops, and events. - Create flyers and social media content for Instagram, Canvas, and Facebook. KNOWLEDGE OF: - Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy. - Working collaboratively with others. - EOPS and other student services programs on campus. ABILITY TO: - Schedule student appointments with program staff. - Be comfortable communicating with students in person, over the phone, and with YCCD (Yuba Community College District) software such as email and Canvas. - Ability to maintain the confidentiality of records and information. - Operate a variety of office equipment including computers, calculators, and copiers. - Explain the EOPS program and services to current and prospective students. - Organize and file paperwork and inventory. - To scan and make photocopies. - Understand and follow oral and written directions. - Will assign other related tasks when needed. - Take photos and post them on social media and Canvas.
Qualifications: - Be familiar with or currently receiving services from EOPS and/or CalWORKs program. - Have completed at least 12 units within the Yuba Community College District - Enrolled in a minimum of 6 units (Fall/Spring) or 3 units (Summer). - Able to use basic office equipment and MS Office applications. - Have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
Purpose: EOPS is a case management-focused program that provides services that are "over, above, and in addition to" services already available to the general student population. EOPS Student Clerks are the first contact a student has with our program, so they support the program by answering questions and connecting them to services and resources from our program and the college.
Responsibility: Perform clerical and other tasks within the EOPS Department.
Schedule: Flexible and willing to work around the student's schedule. Anytime between Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
