Child Development Student Assistant
$16.00/hr

Description: Responsible for staff with instruction / curriculum. Must have at least 6-12 core Early Childhood Education units Obtain their pediatric and adult CPR and First Aid by the end of employment. Have an elementary understanding of licensing and state regulations. Ability to work independently post training. Prefer, CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification. Daily Job Duties/ Responsibilities a.) Clean and sanitize the tables prior to and after each meal following regulations in the Health & Safety Standards. 101227(18) b.) Restock supplies for meals daily and as needed. c.) Clean chairs/ tables daily and when soiled. d.) Mop/wipe up spills when they occur. 101238(a) e.) Clean art project areas when activities are completed. f.) Keep staff restrooms free of clutter and organized. g.) Pick-up and keep all classroom materials organized. h.) Sweep floors after each meal and when a safety hazard is present. 101238(a) i.) Sanitize the sinks and toilet as per the cleaning schedule and initial when complete. j.) Clean and sanitize the indoor/outdoor toys weekly. k.) Wash sheets, quiet area pillows, stuffed animals, and sanitize ALL toys weekly. Toddler classroom must clean and sanitize toys daily. 101239.1(c)(3) l.) Wash dress-up clothes weekly. m.) Remove debris from the sandbox daily and as needed to maintain health and safety standards. 101238.2(2)(f), 101238.2(d)(2) n.) Maintain the outside environment, pick up trash, clean debris/leaves from sandboxes, and sweep concrete areas.

Qualifications: Student must meet program protocols for both FWS and CDC state regulation Must have at least 6-12 core Early Childhood Education units and work flexible hours as needed through open school hours.

Purpose: Responsible for supervision of children health/ safety daily tasks, assisting with implementing curriculum and prep as needed, and supporting the lead teacher with daily routine.

Responsibility: Receive mentoring and the skills to receive a teaching permit with CCTC. All ECE teaching staff need to have experience with each of the key areas: implementing Ability to work independently post training. Prefer, CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification.

Schedule: Monday through Friday variable schedule Hours open to close: 7:30-5:30 4+ hours within the week
