Talwinder Chetra

Mini Biography:  Welcome! I am very excited to work with you this term and support you in achieving your educational goals. I truly look forward to our class and getting to know each of you. You are welcome to call me Professor Chetra.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy mediating, traveling, gardening, and spending time with my wife and children. I have been teaching mathematics for over 20 years. As an immigrant, I faced many challenges throughout my journey, but education transformed my life. It wasn’t easy, but every struggle was worth it.

As your professor, my goal is to provide meaningful and engaging learning experiences. I see myself as a guide and facilitator someone who listens, learns from students, and helps them grow. In my class, students are encouraged to take an active role in their learning through creative problem-solving and skill-building opportunities. I believe it is my responsibility to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels they belong and can express themselves freely.

My objective is to work with each student at their individual level to develop mathematical understanding and confidence that will serve them well beyond this course.
