Laura Daly

My name is Dr. Laurie Daly. I am a full-time Professor in Early Childhood Education (E.C.E.) Department at Lake County Campus of Woodland Community College (formerly known as Yuba College Clear Lake Campus).

I have 43 years of experience in the field of ECE and I have been teaching at Yuba College since 1997. I received an Associate of Science from the College of Marin, so I know what it is like to go through an ECE Community College program. I also have a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Union College, a Masters of Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Sonoma State University, and a Doctorate in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Mills College. My dissertation research was conducted in Lake County California. The subject was titled, "Aggressive Behavior in Preschool Children and Its Influences, Including Violent Television." It was published in the Journal of Early Childhood Research and Practices in 2009.

On a personal note, my husband, Jeff, and I have lived in Lake County for 31 years and love it here, even if the summers can be a little too warm. I love my pets, Jaxson and Gracie, and I tend to share too many photos of them. Oops. :0) 

I love teaching ECE; it is my life passion. I also enjoy getting to know my students and always look forward to classes.
