My name is Katie Williams, and I am an Adjunct Nutrition Instructor and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. I am a strong advocate for community college education because my own academic journey began at Santa Rosa Junior College before I transferred to UC Davis to earn a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Later, I returned to community college to complete nutrition prerequisites and earned a Master of Science in Nutrition Science from California State University, Chico, followed by my dietetic internship and registration as a dietitian.
I have spent my professional career in acute care healthcare, serving as a Chief Clinical Dietitian and more recently as a Food Service Director. While I enjoy working with patients and collaborating with healthcare teams, teaching has always been my greatest passion. In addition to teaching at the community college level, I also teach nutrition courses at California State University, Sacramento.
As an educator, I am committed to helping students build a strong foundation in evidence-based nutrition and develop the critical thinking skills needed to evaluate nutrition information. I enjoy staying current with nutrition research and sharing my enthusiasm for lifelong learning with my students.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, one dog, two cats, five chickens, and five ducks.

This count includes only views we can identify as human. Search engines and AI crawlers made up a large share of the previous figure — one crawler alone viewed every profile on this site twice in two days.
Counting under the new method began in August 2026, so this number reflects recent views rather than a running total. It will grow as the term progresses.
