I have been an adjunct professor here at Woodland Community College since 2008. I always loved reading, writing and rhetoric, and I studied these subjects intensively at Chico State and then at UC Davis. However, my love for reading and reading was eclipsed by my love for teaching, once I stepped into a classroom. Students brighten my day, make me laugh, make me learn, and teach me new things. I try and give back by giving them what I have-- a love for reading, writing, critical thinking, and effective communication. We English teachers do not just teach how to write-- we teach valuable thinking and communicating skills that are essential to a strong education!
