Welcome to my home page! I'm professor Kevin Ferns and I teach English composition, English literature, and creative writing classes at Woodland Community College. I started teaching at WCC in 2005 after a brief career in book publishing and proposal writing and marketing. I also spent time teaching English composition courses at Sacramento City College and UC Davis in the early 2000s. Today I'm the faculty advisor for our campus literary arts magazine, Ink, A Literary Arts Magazine. I'm dedicated to helping you achieve your reading, writing, and critical thinking goals and advance to the next stage in your academic career, and I believe that a world class institution like WCC is the perfect springboard for your ultimate success at a four year college, in your career, and in your future life.
