Brian Vizzusi

Brian Vizzusi is currently serving as a full time tenured faculty member at Yuba College.  He has 25 years of experience in the higher education system and has been full time with Yuba College since 2016. He feels so grateful to have had the opportunity to teach, train and mentor hundreds of outstanding officers, students, and academy cadets during his tenure.

Brian has been a member of a variety of college committees and is currently serving on the Leadership in Equity and Diversity and Safety Committees.  He is looking forward to serving on the Academic Senate and strongly believes in the shared governance process.  Two of Brian’s proudest accomplishes since his time at this institution has been assisting in the re-start of the police academies at Yuba and taking the lead on being a change agent for the next generation of Peace Officers in California.

Brian’s professional experience and background includes 32 years of full-time service in policing.  He has worked in a variety of capacities as a Peace Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and as Police Chief.
