Noel Bruening

Hi! My name is Noel Bruening. Orignally from Long Beach, CA, I am a happy Yolo County resident. I have a BA in English from UCD, and an MA from Sacramento State. I have worked at Sac State, UCD, and Kaplan Test Prep. I've taught English here at WCC since 1998. Recently, I've completed 5 courses in online teaching and Canvas. I teach 1A, 1X, 1B, and 42 (Shakespeare 🎭). My courses always come with free online resources - no books to buy. 

I love talking with my students and getting to know them. My goal is to help students do their best and gain confidence is skills in reading and writing. Each student has unique needs, and deserves a personal approach. I coach and encourage my students to become assets to their community through written and multimedia projects. The assignments, texts, and feedback are geared to motivate and strengthen student success.
